Security & access

Your center's data deserves clear boundaries.

Tutoring centers handle student, family, staff and financial information. Novano is designed so access follows the role a person actually performs inside the center.

Role-aware access

Not one shared login with everything behind it, and not a permissions matrix nobody maintains — the access a person gets follows the job they do.

Owners

See across the center — students, staff, schedules and the financial picture.

Administrators

Run the operation day to day, with the access that job actually requires.

Front desk

Can be limited to what a front desk needs — schedule and attendance — without the center's financials.

Tutors

See their own students and their own sessions, scoped to the teaching they do.

Nova follows the same permissions.

Nova does not receive a separate set of superpowers. Its available tools and context follow the capabilities of the person using it, and consequential actions require confirmation where appropriate.

Actions are attributable.

When Nova carries out an action, it runs with the permissions of the person who asked for it and against the same records they could have changed themselves. Nothing executes as an anonymous system actor.

Human control stays in the loop.

Novano uses AI to help surface information, answer questions and prepare actions. The system is deliberately designed so sensitive or consequential actions remain visible to the person responsible for them.

Questions

Good to know

Can a front-desk hire see our fee position?

Only if you give them a role that includes it. Access follows the role someone performs, so a receptionist can be limited to schedule and attendance without the center's financials.

Does Nova see more than the person using it?

No. Nova's available tools and context follow the capabilities of the person using it. It doesn't get a separate set of permissions.

Can Nova change things on its own?

Consequential actions require confirmation. Automatic execution of low-risk reversible changes is deliberately held back rather than switched on by default.

Do messages come from us or from Novano?

Your center has its own mail identity, so communication reaches families as your center rather than a generic sender.

Bring your questions.

If your center has specific requirements around access or data handling, raise them on the call — we'd rather answer them directly than in a brochure.
